Plagiarism Policy
Plagiarism includes but is not limited to the following:
- Referring to and/or quoting terms, words, sentences, data, and/or information from a source without proper citation in the reference list and/or without adequately acknowledging the source.
- Referring to and/or quoting random terms, words, sentences, data, and/or information from a source without proper citation in the reference list and/or without adequately acknowledging the source.
- Using a source of ideas, opinions, perspectives, or theories without adequately acknowledging the source.
- Reformulating words and/or sentences from a source, including ideas, opinions, perspectives, or theories, without adequately acknowledging the source.
- Submitting a scientific paper authored and/or published by others as one’s own work without proper acknowledgment.
Prevention
Journal of Education and Pedagogical Studies (JEPS) is committed to ensuring that every published article maintains academic integrity. The journal applies plagiarism screening using Turnitin and Plagiarism Checker X to ensure that similarity scores do not exceed 20%.
Sanctions
Authors found to have committed plagiarism may be subject to the following sanctions:
- Reprimand;
- Official warning letter;
- Article retraction;
- Cancellation of publication.
